DLPT X FARM FITNESS
10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY / TRAINING DAY AT THE FARM
I’ve been training clients to get the results that they deserve for over 10 years and in that time the biggest win for me has been the community that has been formed. We have such a diverse range of abilities when it comes to working out, some just starting their fitness journey, whilst others have been training with me since the start of DLPT back in 1994. What’s important here is that when we come together, anything is possible.
So with that in mind we wanted a team day out that would empty the tanks but build the communication and team work. So the DLPT squad packed our gym bags and headed over to Farm Fitness for some tyre flips, ski ergs, cargo bear crawls and team rope runs. The energy was epic and we had 3 teams of 5 that went head to head across 4 different 12 minute workouts, and they even had us squatting with pumpkins for a Halloween themed special. Whilst it may have been Halloween, there was nothing scary about the session with everyone being inclusive and supportive towards each other.
At the end of the session, it’d have been rude not to celebrate with popping a few bottles of bubbly to discuss everyone’s favourite workout and also most physically demanding parts of the WOD. For me, the team ski erg into pumpkin squats followed by a team rope run was the hardest section with my legs feeling like lead, trying to keep up with everyone else running in the team.
“Such a great day to hang out with the DLPT community and get to know everyone better!”

We don’t just work hard, we party hard too. So after the fitness session, everyone had a quick turn around to ditch the sweaty DLPT training tops and dress to impress, ready for the real session. We descended upon the Villa restaurant in Bishops Stortford where we had a 3 course meal and a cocktail (or twelve). The best part of the night was getting to know clients and everyone making friends, and chatting about more than just their pb back squat or 5k running time. Lots of the OG’s all know each other really well, but for many of my newer clients it was the first social together outside of the gym, and everyone had an amazing night together. A special thank you to Lucy, the fantastic singer who brought everyone to the dance floor into the early hours.
“Training with a group of people made it so much fun, especially those that worked hard and partied harder” – Amy.

The heads were pounding the next day for some, but Monday rolls around and we’re all back on it because at DLPT we party hard and we train even harder.
